Crispy Chicken Bites on Tomato Salad
Our pre-cooked “Gentle Chick” chicken breast fillets are the basis for this delicious crispy chicken bites recipe. Juicy, tender, prepared in no time at all & served with tomato salad, a perfect dish for light summer cooking.

2 tsp. | Salt |
2 tsp. | Sugar |
10 tbsp. | Olive oil |
5 tbsp. | Aceto Balsamico white |

Preparation steps
Prepare the meat
- Place the Gentle Chick chicken fillets in warm tap water for 5-10 minutes. Cut open the bag, remove the meat and empty the liquid down the drain.
- Cut the pre-cooked chicken fillets into bite-sized pieces.
Breading
- Prepare the tempura batter - ready-made batter mixes are available in almost every supermarket. Simply mix the batter mixture with cold water according to the instructions and season with lime zest and chili, optionally with coriander.
- Coat the prepared chicken breast pieces in tempura batter.
Frying
- Heat plenty of oil in a pan to approx. 175°C
- Fry the breaded pieces in the oil for about 3 minutes until crispy and then drain on kitchen roll.
Tomato Salad
- Quarter the tomatoes and remove the stalk.
- Pour the salt and sugar over the tomatoes and mix with a tablespoon.
- Leave to stand briefly until some tomato juice forms in the bowl.
- Add the olive oil and balsamic vinegar, season with pepper and mix well.
Arrange
- To garnish the crispy chicken breast on tomato salad, you can use classic basil leaves or, for a more exotic, intense note, Thai basil.
