Karin Neumaerker - Diploma in meat sommelier

In her company, she is responsible for food safety, industrial hygiene and quality management. Her tasks include the development and monitoring of operational hygiene guidelines and safety standards, the optimization of production processes and the preparation, monitoring and documentation of internal and external audits.
She is also responsible for product development and the management of product specifications. The entrepreneur, who is the mother of two children, is involved in presenting and advising customers at various events.

Karin explains her path to becoming a qualified meat sommelier as follows: “I would like to help ensure that the traditional craftsmanship of meat refinement is once again more appreciated and self-confident. It is important to me that the old knowledge is preserved and that the tradition, experience and passion for high-quality, handcrafted products continue to exist. That's why I think it's great that more and more women are showing an interest in the butcher's trade. This was also evident in the training course, where both women and men were equally represented.”

After successfully completing her training as a certified meat sommelier at WIFI Linz, Karin has now also taken on the role of the new testimonial for the WIFI diploma course. Her graduation is a significant step in her professional career and highlights her expertise, her passion for the highest quality and her commitment to the art of meat refinement.
