Chicken Burger with Kimchi
In this burger recipe, the juicy “Gentle Chick” chicken breast is combined with the superfood kimchi, the Korean version of our sauerkraut. Low-calorie, nutrient-rich ingredients in a protein bun. A real low-carb vitality burger!

Prepare the meat

4 pieces | Burger Buns |
60 g | Mayonnaise |
1 piece | Tomato |
2 pieces | Lettuce |
2 tbsp. | Kimchi |
Preparation steps
Prepare the meat
- Place the Gentle Chick chicken breast fillets in the vacuum pack in warm tap water for 5-10 minutes. Cut open the bag, remove the chicken fillets and empty the liquid down the drain.
- Cut the chicken fillets in half lengthways and fry on the barbecue or in a pan for approx. 3 minutes until golden brown.
Serve the burger
- Place the burger bun halves on the grill and fry briefly over an indirect heat to create a nice pattern on the buns.
- Spread mayonnaise on the burger bun halves.
- Cut the tomato into thin slices and tear the lettuce hearts.
- Top the bottom halves of the burger buns with lettuce leaves, tomato slices, chicken breast fillets and kimchi. Put the lid on and enjoy the chicken burger.
Tip: We used protein burger buns here as we wanted to prepare a low-carb burger using lean chicken. If you like your kimchi a little spicier, you can chop a chilli pepper and mix it in.
