Chicken Burger with Kimchi

In this burger recipe, the juicy “Gentle Chick” chicken breast is combined with the superfood kimchi, the Korean version of our sauerkraut. Low-calorie, nutrient-rich ingredients in a protein bun. A real low-carb vitality burger!

Prepare the meat

  1. Place the Gentle Chick chicken breast fillets in the vacuum pack in warm tap water for 5-10 minutes. Cut open the bag, remove the chicken fillets and empty the liquid down the drain.
  2. Cut the chicken fillets in half lengthways and fry on the barbecue or in a pan for approx. 3 minutes until golden brown.


Serve the burger

  1. Place the burger bun halves on the grill and fry briefly over an indirect heat to create a nice pattern on the buns.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on the burger bun halves.
  3. Cut the tomato into thin slices and tear the lettuce hearts.
  4. Top the bottom halves of the burger buns with lettuce leaves, tomato slices, chicken breast fillets and kimchi. Put the lid on and enjoy the chicken burger.


Tip: We used protein burger buns here as we wanted to prepare a low-carb burger using lean chicken. If you like your kimchi a little spicier, you can chop a chilli pepper and mix it in.
