Surf and Turf Royal with garlic-lemon prawns & avocado-cucumber salad

Avocado cucumber salad
1/2 piece | cucumber |
1 piece | avocado |
1 tbsp | olive oil |
1 tsp | lemon juice |
some | salt |
some | pepper |
some | lettuce (optional, for garnish) |
Garlic and lemon prawns
2 – 3 pieces | King prawns (peeled) |
1 | small clove of garlic |
1 tsp | lemon juice |
1 tbsp | butter or olive oil |
some | salt |
some | pepper |
Preparation steps
Avocado and cucumber salad
- Cut the cucumber and avocado into small cubes.
- Mix them with olive oil and lemon juice, season with salt and pepper and leave the salad to infuse in the fridge.
Prepare the meat
- Place the special cut of beef Beef Royal in the vacuum pack in warm tap water in the sink for 5-10 minutes. Cut open the bag, remove the meat, empty the liquid down the drain and wipe the meat dry with kitchen roll.
- Heat some butter in a pan and fry the Beef Royale on both sides for approx. 8 - 10 minutes.
- Then leave the meat to rest for approx. 5 - 10 minutes.
Garlic and lemon prawns
- Finely chop the garlic.
- Heat the butter (or olive oil) in a pan and fry the prawns with the garlic and lemon juice for 1 - 2 minutes on each side.
- Season with salt and pepper.
Serving
- Serve the beef royal with avocado and cucumber salad on a plate.
- Skewer the fried prawns onto the beef steak (if you like, you can also add a lightly fried cocktail tomato for an extra splash of colour) and enjoy the Surf and Turf Royal!
