Tacos with Pulled Pork and sour onions

This recipe is easy to prepare, tastes great & is incredibly quick to make with AUMAERK's unique pre-cooked pulled pork. The butter-tender pork and sour onions are the perfect filling for your tacos!

Ingredients

Sour Onions
2 piecesRed onion
200 mlWhite wine vinegar
2 tbsp.Brown sugar
1 pinchSalt
4 twigsThyme
1 pieceBay leaf
Finish the pre-cooked pulled pork
Fill the Tacos
6 piecesTaco Shells

Preparation steps

Prepare the sour onions

  1. Peel the onions and cut into rings.
  2. Fill into a preserving jar.
  3. Bring the vinegar, sugar, herbs and salt to the boil.
  4. Pour the stock into the onions.
  5. Cover the jar and leave to infuse overnight.


Finish the pre-cooked pulled pork

  1. Portion the pulled pork (500g - cut off approx. 1/4 of the whole pulled pork) and roast on the barbecue or in the oven (approx. 35 minutes, ready at a core temperature of 60°C).


Fill the tacos

  1. Fill the tacos with the finished pulled pork and top with the sour onions.



Enjoy with sour cream dip or guacamole, as desired.
