Classic Bread Dumplings
Our classic recipe for fluffy bread dumplings is the perfect accompaniment to our sure-fire roast pork royal. Homemade always tastes better, as we learned from our grandmothers.

Ingredients
Bread Dumplings
250 g | Bread cubes |
275 ml | Milk |
200 ml | Heavy cream |
2 | Eggs |
1 pinch | Salt |
Some | Pepper |
Some | Nutmeg |
1 twig | Thyme |
Preparation steps
Mix the dumpling mixture
- Place the bread cubes in a bowl.
- Heat the milk and cream to 70°C and mix in the eggs.
- Season the liquid with salt, pepper, nutmeg and thyme.
- Mix the bread cubes well with the liquid and leave to rest for 30 minutes.
Cook the dumplings
- Shape the bread dumplings, wrap in cling film and cover with aluminum foil.
- Cook in boiling water for 30 minutes, garnish with a little parsley if necessary.
