Caramelized red wine plums

Ingredients

Prepare the plums
300 gPlums
Caramelize, deglaze and season
50 gSugar
100 mlRed wine
1 pieceCinnamon stick
1 pieceCloves
Toss the plums and serve

Prepare the plums

  1. Wash the plums, cut in half and remove the stones.

Caramelize, deglaze and season

  1. Caramelize the sugar in a pan until golden brown.
  2. Deglaze with red wine.
  3. Add the cinnamon stick and cloves and simmer gently for approx. 10 minutes until the sugar has dissolved.

Toss the plums and serve

  1. Add the plums and toss for approx. 5 minutes.
  2. Serve the caramelized red wine plums sprinkled with thyme leaves.
