Cheese Dumplings
Tyrolean-style cheese dumplings taste just as good as a soup garnish as they do as a main course in their own right, served with a green salad. In this simple 10-minute recipe, we use tangy mountain cheese or gray cheese.

Ingredients
Cheese Dumplings
| Some | Butter |
| 1 piece | Bell pepper, diced |
| 1 piece | Onion, finely diced |
| 1 clove | Garlic, chopped |
| 500 g | Bread cubes |
| 20 ml | Milk |
| 8 | Eggs |
| Some | Rucola, chopped |
| 300 g | Cheese, diced (mountain cheese or gray cheese) |
| 1 pinch | Salt |
| Some | Pepper |
| Some | Clarified butter for frying |
Preparation steps
Prepare the mixture
- Heat a little butter in a pan, add the diced peppers and onions and the finely chopped garlic and fry lightly.
- Place the bread cubes in a bowl, add the milk and eggs and mix well. Leave the mixture to stand for a while.
- Stir in the sautéed vegetables, rocket and diced cheese, season with salt and pepper.
Bake the cheese dumplings
- Place the Dutch oven lid (you can also use a pan on the stove) on the preheated grill and heat the clarified butter in it.
- Shape the cheese dumpling mixture into small loaves, place in the hot fat, flatten slightly and bake slowly until browned.
