Ingredients
Prepare the mashed potatoes
500 g | Potatoes |
1 pinch | Salt |
1 piece | Bay leaf |
250 ml | Milk |
Add the horseradish
20 g | Horseradish |
Arrange
2 piece | White bread (no crust) |
Some | Butter |
1 pinch | Salt |
Preparation steps
Prepare the mashed potatoes
- Peel the potatoes and cook in salted water, add the bay leaf for flavor and remove after cooking.
- Mash the cooked potatoes and gradually stir in the milk. The best way to do this is with a rubber scraper.
Add the horseradish
- Squeeze out the horseradish and stir the juice into the mashed potatoes, chop the remaining squeezed horseradish and add to the mash when serving.
Serve
- Cut the slices of toast into cubes, fry in a little butter, season with salt and garnish the horseradish and potato mash with the crispy croutons.
