Beef Bone Steaks
Star cuisine in minutes - it can be that easy! The “Big Beef Rib” from the beef short plate, portioned between the ribs and seared for approx. 1 min on each side, produces 5 butter-tender, exquisite beef bone steaks.

For searing the Beef Bone Steaks
3 tbsp. | Oil |
1 tbsp. | Butter |
1 sprig | Rosemary |
1 sprig | Thyme |
Preparation steps
Prepare the meat
- Place the “Big Beef Rib” short ribs in the vacuum pack in hot tap water for 5-10 minutes. Cut open the bag, remove the meat and empty the liquid down the drain.
- Portion the “Big Beef Rib” between the ribs into 5 pieces and wrap individually in cling film.
- Heat in the microwave at 900 W for 4.5 minutes (max. 2 pieces at a time).
Searing the beef bone steaks
- Heat the pan on the stove. Add 3 tbsp of oil (preferably heat-resistant olive oil) to the hot pan.
- Sear the steaks (without foil) for approx. 1 minute on each side.
- Reduce the heat to three-quarters, turn the meat, add 1 tbsp butter and fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary) and fry for a further 2 minutes, constantly basting with butter from the pan.
