Roast Pork with kale and roast potatoes
Our roast pork recipe with kale and roast potatoes is unbelievably good! With our famous “Pork Royal” roast pork, which is child's play to prepare, as well as quickly prepared, hearty side dishes, you'll have your guests raving about it.

Roast Pork

Kale
600 g | Kale |
2 pieces | Onions, small |
3 tbsp. | Pork lard |
2 tsp. | Sugar |
250 ml | Meat broth |
1 pinch | Salt |
Some | Pepper |
Roast potatoes
16 pieces | Small potatoes, waxy |
200 g | Bacon, diced |
1 tbsp. | Clarified butter |
1 piece | Onion, finely diced |
1 pinch | Salt |
Some | Ground cumin |
Some | Majoran |
Some | Pepper |
Preparation steps
Roast Pork
- Prepare the roast pork royal according to the cooking instructions.
Kale
- Wash the kale and remove the stalk
- Blanch the kale in boiling salted water for approx. 2 minutes and then rinse in cold water. Then cut into large pieces.
- Cut the onions into small cubes and sauté in lard. Add the sugar and allow to caramelize slightly. Add the kale pieces and sauté briefly.
- Deglaze with the stock, season with salt and pepper and simmer for approx. 1 hour.
Roast potatoes
- Pre-cook the potatoes in their skins for approx. 15 minutes, rinse briefly and then peel.
- Fry the bacon cubes in clarified butter until crispy, remove and set aside.
- Fry the potatoes in the hot fat until golden brown, add the onions and season with salt, caraway, marjoram and pepper.
- Finally, add the diced bacon.
To serve, cut the finished roast pork royal into slices and serve with kale and roast potatoes.
