Ingredients
Red Cabbage
1 kg | Red cabbage |
250 g | Apples |
2 pieces | Onion, red |
2 tbsp. | Agave syrup or honey |
Some | Blackcurrant jelly |
100 g | Apple puree |
1 pinch | Salt |
Some | Pepper |
For the tea infuser
1 pieces | Cinnamon stick |
2 pieces | Cloves |
1 piece | Bay leaves |
2 pieces | Juniper berries |
10 pieces | Peppercorns, white |
Preparation steps
Red cabbage
- Halve the red cabbage, place in the juicer together with the apples and red onions and collect the juice in a container.
- Chop or slice the remaining red cabbage.
- Melt the honey (agave syrup) in a pan together with the redcurrant jelly. Then add the apple sauce and the chopped red cabbage.
- Pour in the liquid from the juicer and season with salt and pepper.
Spices for the tea infuser
- Pour the spices into the tea infuser and add to the red cabbage, bring everything to the boil until the red cabbage is soft. Remove the tea infuser before serving.
